Software Testing Analyst

Location: Hybrid, Onsite 3 days a week or as required by the customer
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Analyze and validate user stories, technical specifications, and functional requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Design, write, and execute detailed test cases, and test scenarios for functional, integration, and regression testing phases.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, at times collaborating with development teams to recreate or perform root-cause analysis.
- Work closely with teammates, SCRUM teams, software developers, and program management to ensure alignment on quality goals and project deliverables.
- Design, execute, and maintain functional test cases to validate that application features meet established requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of automated testing scripts to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
- Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to provide testing status and quality metrics.
- Clearance: Secret
- Certifications: Requires at least 1 certification in area of specialization. SCRUM, Leading SAFe, T&E, automation, and/or AI in T&E certs are valuable recommended.
- Education, Background, and Years of Experience: Requires a Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience; or an Associate’s degree with at least 6 years of experience; or at least 60 semester hours of formal education working towards a Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience; or 8 years of experience. One year of experience can be substituted by 15 semester hours completed towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks within restricted timeframes.
- Detail-oriented, able to work independently, self-motivated, and a proactive team player.
- Understanding of Agile/SCRUM principles and experience working within sprint-based development cycles.
- Contract writing knowledge is a plus.
