Position Summary
Serve as a technical lead for one or more project teams, working collaboratively with the team to ensure code quality and technical solution integrity for the Duck Creek Billing implementation. This position requires strong leadership in design, development, and delivery of complex solutions across multiple domains and platforms.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10-12 years of experience in software development with at least 5-7 years in the Duck Creek Billing application space.
- Proven track record of delivering consumer-grade applications at scale.
- Configuring and coding in the Duck Creek Billing application and ensuring data and transactional integrity between billing and policy
- Develop good technical documentation for coding and design standards and how to code and design using Duck Creek for MPL
- Observability – error logging, monitoring, alerting, taking remedial actions
- Software quality assurance – unit, integration, functional end-end testing, usage of test automation and improving test coverage and escape defect rates
- Profiling baselines and identifying areas for optimization and diagnosing root cause and fixes
- System Architecture & Scalability – proven experience architecting scalable, modular architectures, cloud platform, performance tuning
- Team leadership and mentoring - code reviews, best practices for design and coding, debugging, documentation and ensuring the right work is sized properly and monitored
- Awareness of the MPL space and emerging tech trends to ensure extensibility and future-proofing solutions
- A/B testing, acting on user feedback for how features are delivered, analytics on usage and improvements needed
