Cloud Security Engineer (AWS & Azure)

Own and continuously improve the cloud security posture across AWS and Azure platforms by embedding security into architecture, operations, and delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance cloud security posture, including vulnerability identification and remediation.
• Perform threat modelling and implement preventative and detective security controls.
• Respond to and support investigation of cloud security incidents and escalations.
• Implement governance controls such as policies, RBAC, and least-privilege access.
• Define and maintain secure cloud architecture patterns and configuration standards.
• Partner with cloud engineering and operations teams to embed security into pipelines and workflows.

• Proven experience in cloud security engineering across AWS and Azure.
• Strong knowledge of identity, access management, governance, and security monitoring.
• Experience working with cloud-native security tools and security posture management.

• Acts as a security advocate while enabling, not blocking, delivery teams.
• Demonstrates sound judgement under pressure during security incidents.
• Communicates risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintains high standards of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
