Team Lead - Software Development

Your new role

As a Team Lead at Dalux, you will hold a central position in our product development organization and take responsibility for running your own development team. This is not a traditional people management role. Instead, think of it as a combination of Lead Developer and Project Manager, with a strong technical foundation.

Each team is responsible for one or more areas of the Dalux product portfolio and owns both feature development and non-functional requirements, while ensuring a consistently high level of quality.

You will spend approximately 50% of your time on hands-on development, with the remaining time focused on team lead responsibilities, including:

• Clarifying requirements and discussing product strategy and scope with Product Owners
• Defining area-specific technical and architectural solutions together with the team
• Planning and prioritizing work in close collaboration with the Product Owner
• Mentoring and coaching developers
• Onboarding and training new team members from a technical and process perspective
• Releasing components and products when needed
• Keeping the Sprint Backlog up to date and ensuring a healthy task flow
• Continuously improving Dalux by sharing and implementing new ideas

Technologies we work with

Our platform is built on distributed cloud architecture using AWS, and we primarily use the following technologies:

• C# / .NET
• Angular / TypeScript
• Elastic
• MSSQL
• Optionally: Android / iOS development using .NET MAUI

You might also encounter a bit of legacy C++ along with opportunities to modernize and improve existing solutions.

We work with agile methodologies and release new product versions a handful of times per year, allowing us to continuously deliver value while maintaining a strong focus on quality and stability.

Depending on team focus, technologies include:

• Full-stack teams: C# / .NET, Angular, WebGL, MSSQL, Elasticsearch, DirectX
• Mobile teams: Xamarin (transitioning to .NET MAUI), OpenGL ES, Vulkan
• AI / Computer Vision teams: C++, Python, and more

Which team you will lead depends on your experience, interests, and current business needs.

Collaboration and product focus

Each product team typically includes a Product Manager and a Product Designer, ensuring that decisions are balanced across value, usability, technical feasibility, and business viability. You will collaborate closely with them - and with fellow developers - to build robust, user-centric software used by professionals worldwide.

Your background

• You have an educational background in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field
• Have experience in a key developer role, as well as working with agile methods and related tools
• Possess strong facilitation and planning skills
• Have a natural ability to create and maintain a positive team atmosphere
• Are able to understand existing workflows and suggest meaningful improvements to processes and practices across Dalux Development
