THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING
- A leading commercial HVAC services platform with a large North American footprint, headquartered in Charlotte and operating across a highly distributed network of service businesses
- A PE-backed growth environment focused on modernization, scalability, and using data more effectively across disconnected business units
- A decentralized operating model with multiple locations, systems, and ERP environments, creating meaningful complexity and opportunity for enterprise data transformation
- A data and AI strategy team building the foundation for better reporting, stronger connectivity, and future AI-enabled business use cases
- A business that values leaders who can think strategically, partner with the business, and still stay close enough to the work to execute hands-on when needed
- Charlotte, NC (Uptown) – Hybrid (3-days)
- Opportunity to step into a highly visible data platform leadership role during a major modernization effort
- Ability to lead the consolidation of fragmented data environments into a more scalable Databricks platform
- Exposure to a complex, multi-site service business where data strategy has direct operational and financial impact
- A chance to influence architecture, governance, connectivity, and the future-state data ecosystem
- PE-backed environment with urgency, executive visibility, and appetite for practical, value-driven transformation
- Owns the future-state data platform strategy as the organization moves toward consolidating on Databricks in AWS
- Helps establish the architecture and governance needed to support reliable reporting, analytics, and AI use cases
- Partners across disconnected business units and ERP environments to create a more connected data foundation
- Balances strategic platform leadership with hands-on technical execution, including direct work inside the Databricks environment
- Provides leadership for the broader data ecosystem, likely including future alignment with pipeline integration resources
- Deep hands-on experience in Databricks, including architecture, governance, implementation, and platform management
- Experience standing up or modernizing enterprise data platforms in complex, multi-system environments
- Strong understanding of data architecture, transformation lifecycles, medallion architecture, and platform connectivity
- Ability to lead and grow a team of Data Engineers
- Ability to enable AI use cases through a well-structured, scalable data foundation
- Background in HVAC, field services, PE-backed platforms, multi-site businesses, or other service-based industries would be highly valuable
