Senior Solution Architect – (Java & Azure)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect with expertise in Java and Azure to lead transformative projects and drive innovation in modernizing legacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert in Java and Azure technologies, providing strategic direction for projects
• Architect and design solutions for legacy modernization programs while ensuring alignment with business goals
• Build scalable cloud solutions leveraging microservices and modern architecture patterns
• Lead technical discussions and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Ensure project compliance with technical standards and enforce best practices
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering growth and collaboration
• Conduct deep assessments of legacy mainframe applications and identify potential areas for improvement
• Develop modernization strategies such as re-platforming, re-factoring, and cloud migrations
• Oversee integration efforts to maintain seamless interaction between modernized systems and legacy systems
• Implement quality assurance measures to meet performance, security, and compliance benchmarks
• Create and maintain detailed documentation outlining architectural designs and development principles
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them to solve complex challenges in modernization initiatives

Requirements

• At least 14–19 years of experience in solution architecture and software development
• Expertise in Java and Azure with a strong background in modernization technologies
• Experience in designing scalable architectures using microservices
• Proficiency in reverse engineering legacy systems for modernization purposes
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (Azure Solution Architect experience is mandatory)
• Skills in software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices
• Understanding of modernization tools, methodologies, and cloud transformation techniques
• Competency in integrating modernized solutions with other systems for seamless performance
• Strong communication and leadership aptitude for conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Background in business transformation initiatives and IT modernization strategies
• Qualifications in frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate
• Showcase of using databases including PostgreSQL or NoSQL DBs effectively

Nice to have

• Familiarity with frontend technologies like ReactJS, Angular, and Web Services
• Background in JavaScript and API tooling with design best practices
• Capability to manage DevOps architecture and cloud operations, especially with Azure
• Skills in Spring frameworks including Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Batch, and Spring REST
• Competency in leveraging microservices and RESTful APIs for architectural design
