Work you'll do
As a Data Engineer III at Deloitte, you will lead the end-to-end design and deployment of enterprise solutions on the Databricks Platform. You will serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, using your deep, real-world project experience to architect solutions that encompass data engineering, data science, and business intelligence. This strategic role is focused on driving innovation and helping clients unlock the full potential of their data and AI investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Audit AI & Automation Senior Consultant will support designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and workflows within Databricks
- Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like PySpark, SQL
- Implement and optimize data workflows, including data ingestion, transformation, and operationalization
- Work closely with technical managers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions
- Monitor data pipelines, troubleshooting issues, and ensure data quality and system reliability
- Support creation, enforcement, and monitoring of proper data governance of financial data for classified programs
- Prepare and present clear, actionable reports and recommendations to leadership
- Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must possess and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
- 5+ years of real-world experience in a client-facing role, advising on and implementing end-to-end solutions on the Databricks platform or similar
- 2+ years of experience in developing and managing ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like PySpark, SQL
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Databricks certifications (e.g., Data Engineer Professional, Machine Learning Professional) are highly preferred
- Public sector experience preferred
- Active U.S. TS/SCI clearance preferred
