Cloud Architect (Azure Migration)

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the architecture and governance of a large-scale Application-to-Cloud Migration programme. This role is responsible for defining the target Azure architecture, ensuring cloud governance compliance, and driving successful migration outcomes across complex enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions, cloud transformation programmes, and enterprise migration strategies while collaborating with infrastructure, security, operations, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the target cloud architecture for application migration programmes.
• Design Azure enterprise architecture solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Establish Azure Landing Zone architecture and governance standards.
• Drive cloud security, compliance, networking, resiliency, and scalability design.
• Lead architecture reviews and ensure adherence to cloud governance frameworks.
• Develop migration strategies and provide architectural oversight throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and operations teams.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Ensure disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity requirements are met.
• Support cloud cost optimisation and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project delivery and engineering teams.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of experience in IT architecture and solution design.
• Minimum 5+ years designing Azure enterprise and cloud migration solutions.
• Proven experience with Data Centre to Cloud migration initiatives.
• Strong experience in enterprise architecture and cloud governance.
• Hands-on expertise in Azure services, networking, security, and compliance.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent German (B2/C1) and English.
