The Team – your impact

As a Senior AI Engineer (f/m/d), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing AI solutions that enhance decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and enable smarter energy solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and ensuring best practices in AI implementation.

Your Role– meaningful & rewarding

• Drive the development of agentic AI solutions powered by RAG delivered through enterprise platforms (e.g., Copilot Studio, Langdock, Databricks) or custom-built backends using Python or TypeScript
• Design and implement multi-step agentic workflows, using orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, LangChain) for custom solutions, with awareness of emerging standards like Model Context Protocol (MCP)
• Apply agentic design best practices — including guardrails, output evaluation, human-in-the-loop validation, structured tool use, and graceful fallback handling
• Design and implement AI-powered solutions leveraging Azure AI Service (OpenAI Service, AI Foundry, AI Search, Document Intelligence), with working knowledge of comparable services on AWS and GCP
• Design robust data models and application backends, ensuring efficient data handling (e.g. using Python and Pydantic)
• Lead full-cycle development of AI applications from solution architecture and data ingestion through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
• Automate and streamline infrastructure and deployment tasks using Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (e.g., OpenTofu, Terraform), with CI/CD pipelines on GitLab
• Provide strategic direction for API development, ensuring best practices in RESTful API design and async programming
• Prototype and demo AI solutions to clients and stakeholders using lightweight frontend tools (e.g., Streamlit, React) or low-code interfaces
• Assess IT/digital needs, challenges or systems, deliver strategic technology guidance, and lead clients through effective digital transformation initiatives

Your Profile – authentic & open-minded

• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience
• Several years of professional experience in AI development, solution architecture, particularly on Azure, with working knowledge of comparable services on AWS and GCP
• Strong expertise in Python and TypeScript and respective frameworks for RESTful API development
• Deep knowledge of Azure's AI platform (OpenAI Service, AI Foundry, AI Search, Document Intelligence) as well as DevOps practices for cloud-based infrastructure maintenance and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab)
• Expertise in LLM-based applications, including prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG architectures, and vector search using frameworks such as Hugging Face and Langflow
• Understanding of AI Governance, Responsible AI practices, and security considerations such as prompt injection prevention
• Trusted advisor mindset, committed to building strong client relationships, adapting to change, and consistently delivering value in dynamic IT/digital environments
• Excellent communication, fluent in English, and leadership skills, with the ability to drive technical projects
