Your new Role


The Data Architecture & Governance Manager will oversee enterprise Data architecture and governance across a complex, global Data environment, ensuring that Data is structured, secure, compliant, and aligned with business needs while enabling consistent and reliable Data‑driven decision making.


This person reports to the Head of Data and Business Analytics and leads a technical specialist, working closely with Data Managers, Business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to ensure strong governance, architecture consistency, and high‑quality Data delivery.


The Data Architecture & Governance Manager will:

  • Maintain and evolve conceptual, logical, and physical Data models across the enterprise;
  • Define integration patterns, Data flows, and architectural principles to ensure scalability and security;
  • Shape and oversee the enterprise Data environment, including Data Lake, master Data structures, and analytical layers;
  • Own and enforce the Data governance framework, including policies, standards, metadata, and ownership models;
  • Ensure Data quality, integrity, and compliance across functions and regions;
  • Oversee global Master Data Management (MDM) and manage external partners responsible for execution;
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (including GDPR and ethical Data use);
  • Act as the internal authority for Data architecture across in‑house and outsourced engineering activities;
  • Review and approve Data models, pipelines, and integration approaches;
  • Translate business requirements into architectural and governance standards;
  • Support the definition and execution of the multi‑year Data roadmap;
  • Drive adoption of governance best practices and promote Data capability across the organization;
  • Manage external vendors and partners, ensuring SLA adherence and operational performance;
  • Monitor KPIs, conduct service reviews, and ensure continuous improvement across Data services;
  • Ensure alignment of all Data initiatives with architectural principles and governance standards.


A typical day will include working closely with business and technical stakeholders, reviewing Data solutions and models, ensuring governance compliance, managing external partners, and driving improvements across the organization’s Data landscape.


Please consider that this role requires availability for occasional travel to other company sites.


What you will need to succeed


As a Data Architecture & Governance Manager, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field;
  • + 5 years of experience working with Third Party Data Service Providers (preferred) or Outsourced Engineering Teams;
  • Proven experience in Data Governance, Data Architecture, or a hybrid role combining both;
  • Experience designing and maintaining enterprise Data models or governance frameworks (including track-record of creating simple and robust documentation);
  • Experience in complex, global manufacturing organizations is highly advantageous;
  • Experience with Power BI for Data visualization, reporting, and analytics;
  • Strong understanding of Cloud based technology (preferably Azure, Databricks and best practice Data Lake methodology);
  • Ability to influence cross functional stakeholders and drive adoption of governance and architectural standards;
  • Excellent communication skills – Fluency in English.
