The mission of Operational Data Office and Reporting area is to ensure the EDPR Corporate Operational Reporting and KPI generation and the management of the Operational Data and Reporting solutions to grant the standardization, governance, quality and optimization of the data and reporting processes to add value to the business.


Operational Data Office main accountabilities:

• Management of the Interstellar Datahub Solution, ensuring the internalization of the functional maintenance and evolution activities of EDPR’s operational data solutions.

• Ensure the design, development, engineering, evolution and technical ownership of the Operational Interstellar datahub and cloud-based operational data platform.

• Coordination with Operational Reporting Solution, ensuring the alignment with the data model and available information in Interstellar Datahub Solution.

• Grant an efficient interface and interaction with the rest of Dispatch Center areas, as well as with other EDPR areas and stakeholders which are relevant for the Operational Data Office and Reporting area activities and responsibilities.


This role provides the leadership required for the development, engineering, and evolution of EDPR's Operational Data Platform, combining expertise in Data Engineering, cloud technologies, data architecture, automation, and software development to support critical business capabilities.

What are we looking for:

  • Graduation in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, or another that fits the desired profile.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English, and Portuguese or Spanish
  • Experience working with Databricks in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence environments with proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, optimization and analysis and programming experience in Python and/or advanced SQL development. Understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud-based data architectures.
  • Mandatory experience in Databricks, Python, SQL, data pipelines, automation scripts, notebooks, and data transformation processes and cloud-native data engineering.
  • Familiarity with Delta Lake and Spark technologies.
  • Proficiency in distributed data processing architectures.
  • Knowledge of metadata management, and master data management principles.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT workflows, data integration processes, and orchestration frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modelling, data warehousing concepts, and data lifecycle management.
  • Experience implementing data quality controls, validation frameworks, monitoring mechanisms, and data governance best practices.
  • Experience working with source code repositories, version control systems (e.g., Git), collaborative development practices, and CI/CD methodologies is considered an advantage.
  • Experience working directly with clients and translating business requirements into analytical solutions.
  • Strong knowledge in reporting tools, namely PowerBI or other related data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, advanced Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid communication skills; capability to establish technical discussions in different cultural environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate concurrent initiatives, and meet deadlines in dynamic environments.
  • High degree of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality data products and services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Capability to gather, challenge, and formalize business requirements, ensuring alignment between operational needs and technical implementation.
  • Strong capacity to embrace new challenges.
  • Ability to work with transversal teams in OT/IT projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability, learning agility, and willingness to embrace new technologies, methodologies, and business challenges.
  • Good experience in support and maintenance; sense of commitment.
