The Opportunity
We’re looking for a results-driven Account Manager to manage a portfolio of key builders and support the conversion of small builders within Melbourne.
Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, you’ll play a critical role in advancing James Hardie’s growth of High Value Products by targeting builders in the single-family new construction and multi-family segments. You’ll implement strategic sales and marketing initiatives to strengthen our competitive position and deliver sustainable profitable growth.
What You’ll Do
- Develop integrated business plans to drive repeat usage and advocacy of the Hardie™ Architectural Range
- Execute strategies to influence housing design and replace traditional materials with fibre cement
- Identify new opportunities in collaboration with Territory Managers
- Train builders on design, estimation, and installation to optimize cost and quality outcomes
- Manage builder association relationships and promote James Hardie High Value Products
- Deliver proof points for conversions and drive scalable awareness through events and training
- Proactively sell value through customers and local sales teams
- Minimum 3 years’ sales experience with a proven track record in business development with top builders
- Building industry experience essential, ideally in single-family or multi-family segments
- Strong communication, networking, and influencing skills
- Ability to work strategically and tactically to deliver outcomes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience desirable
- Stable growth at a global building products manufacturer
