PE Global is recruiting for a QC Data Analytics Specialist for a leading multinational biotech client based in Dublin. This is an initial 12-month contract, remote role.


Overview:

In this role, the candidate will join the Global Quality Control network and have a key role in E2E Quality Transformation and the QC Digital Optimization Initiative.



We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control (QC) Senior Associate with Data Scientist expertise to join our QC Network Team as a key contributor to the QC Digital Optimization Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the development of AI-driven capabilities that support strategic business objectives along with an understanding of Quality in regulated environments (e.g., GxP). This role will play a key part in designing, developing, and deploying scalable digital solutions to drive innovation, efficiency across the organization.



This individual will apply advanced data analytics to extract actionable insights, optimize QC workflows, and drive digital transformation in quality operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in technical teams in the development, deployment and application of applied analytics, predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics.
  • Translate complex business processes into production level code.
  • Work alongside software engineers to translate algorithms into viable products meeting business requirements.
  • Perform exploratory and targeted data analyses using descriptive statistics and other methods.
  • Develop, evaluate, and maintain AI/ML and generative AI solutions, including model validation, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Work with data engineers on data quality assessment, data cleansing and data analytics.
  • Generate reports, annotated code, and other projects artifacts to document, archive, and communicate your work and outcomes.
  • Perform data verification and scenario testing of developed solutions ensuring business requirements are met.
  • Explore emerging and alternate technologies to support digital solution advancement.
  • Support code level troubleshooting activities.
  • Work with IS teams/resolver groups.
  • Share and discuss findings with team members practicing SAFe Agile delivery model.
  • Ensure AI/ML/Digital solution development complies with GxP and other regulatory standards, fostering a strong Quality culture.



Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree in Software Engineering, Data Science, or ML Engineering or
  • Master’s degree and 2–3 years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Science, or ML Engineering or
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4–5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Science, or ML Engineering or
  • Diploma and 10–12 years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Science, or ML Engineering



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced statistical/analytical techniques and machine learning algorithms for structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience developing, evaluating, and deploying generative AI solutions, including large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic workflows, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and model evaluation.
  • Current knowledge of modern AI/ML technologies, algorithms, and frameworks, with experience building and operationalizing predictive, machine learning, and generative AI models.
  • High proficiency in programming languages, with emphasis on SQL and Python.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and tools such as Spark and Databricks.
  • Familiarity with MLOps and AI engineering practices, including model versioning, monitoring, testing, reproducibility, deployment pipelines, and responsible AI principles.
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including Git or similar version-control tools.
  • Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI) and automation workflows such as Power Automate.
  • Knowledge of GxP compliance and experience working in regulated environments.
  • Business domain experience in healthcare, biotech, or life sciences is a plus.
  • Ability to translate complex business problems into scalable technical and AI-driven solutions.
  • Initiative to evaluate emerging technologies and alternative approaches to solving problems.
  • Ability to identify and manage multiple priorities successfully and work with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements, and estimating effort.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to diverse audiences.
  • High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work effectively in global teams with a focus on achieving team goals.
