Microsoft Fabric - Data Engineering - Databricks - Azure Data Factory - Python - SQL - Investment Management

Our client, a highly respected institutional investor, is building a modern cloud-based data platform that will underpin its Investment Management business for years to come. They're seeking a Senior Investment Data Engineer to join at a formative stage and help shape it.

The Role

• Build a Fabric Data Lakehouse, implementing scalable, secure ETL/ELT pipelines across a medallion architecture
• Share expertise across a small engineering team, championing strong data engineering practice
• Partner with architects, business stakeholders and Information Security to design secure, scalable solutions
• Advocate for the platform, build stakeholder confidence, and support production issues as they arise

Essential

• Significant hands-on data engineering experience on modern cloud platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure or Snowflake)
• Strong skills in Python, Spark, SQL/NoSQL and Azure DevOps
• Experience with lakehouse architectures and Agile delivery
• Background in Investment Management with genuine understanding of the underlying data
• Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer certification (DP-600/DP-700)
• Excellent stakeholder communication and a hands-on, self-starting mindset
