The Position
At STACK, the Sr. Accountant, General Ledger is an essential part of the Finance and Accounting Department. You will be responsible for the monthly production and maintenance of all general ledger accounting, participate in the monthly close process, assist with financial statement preparation and analysis, technical accounting, process improvement, external audit coordination, and be the right hand person to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for accounting and customer service (external and internal). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Accounting Close:
- Complete the month end close process and preparation of journal entries
- Evaluate and record transactions to the general ledger timely and accurately
- Manage and maintain fixed asset accounting and capitalization policies
- Analyze and interpret complex accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare account reconciliations and research discrepancies as needed
- Assist the Accounting Manager in reviewing the work of the Staff Accountant
- Provide support and prepare documentation for the external audit
- General:
- Work cross functionally with various departments and teams to understand operating results and create efficiencies in accounting processes
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, including Revenue Accounting, Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting, Tax, Finance and Treasury teams
- Ad-hoc reporting, analysis and special projects to move the business forward
- Identify and implement ideas for process improvement
- Location: Denver, CO – In office 3 days, Work from Home 2 days
- Travel: less than 10%

- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must pass comprehensive background screening
- BS in Accounting required
- 3+ years prior work experience
- CPA and public accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Multi-entity and international experience preferred
- NetSuite experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite, especially Excel
- Detail-oriented
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communications skills
- Enjoys collaborating and works well cross-functionally with other teams
- Ability to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervision
- Proven success in creating efficiencies in processes and procedures
