What You'll Do

Drive High-Impact Research Initiatives

• Partner with business and research stakeholders to identify opportunities where data science can create a competitive advantage.

• Deliver clear, actionable recommendations while communicating key assumptions, risks, and limitations.
• Contribute to high-priority strategic and thematic initiatives across multiple industries and business models.

Build and Scale Analytical Solutions

• Develop innovative methodologies, predictive models, and analytical tools using traditional and alternative datasets.
• Create scalable research frameworks that can be applied across companies, sectors, and themes.
• Identify emerging data sources and evaluate their potential value.
• Collaborate with engineering and technology teams to operationalize high-value analytical solutions.

Generate Differentiated Insights from Data

• Analyze large, complex, and imperfect datasets to uncover meaningful patterns and signals.
• Assess data quality, coverage, bias, seasonality, and long-term signal durability.
• Design and maintain robust analytical processes that support informed decision-making.
• Continuously explore new techniques, tools, and data sources to strengthen research capabilities.

Serve as a Cross-Functional Data Science Partner

• Act as a trusted data science resource across multiple teams and initiatives.
• Quickly develop expertise in new industries, business models, and datasets.
• Prioritize work effectively based on impact, feasibility, and strategic importance.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, Alternative Data, Investment Research, Quantitative Research, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience working with large-scale, real-world datasets.
• Strong statistical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to convert ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leveraging alternative data sources to drive research or business outcomes.
• Background supporting investment, financial services, strategic research, or highly analytical commercial functions.
• Experience evaluating data quality, representativeness, and signal performance.
• Familiarity with machine learning, predictive modeling, experimentation, and advanced analytics techniques.
• Experience building scalable analytical tools and frameworks used by multiple stakeholders.

Salary Range: $170,000—$190,000 USD base
