In this PhD position, you will focus on developing an AI-driven decision platform that combines customer feedback, product data, and expert knowledge from different markets around the world. The goal is to harmonize regional perspectives, make customer insights globally comparable, and generate reliable decision recommendations for product development. You will work in an international and interdisciplinary environment together with experts in Artificial Intelligence, data analytics, customer research, and product development. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine scientific excellence with industrial impact and actively shape the future of data-driven product development. Possible Tasks within this Role

  • Developing and evaluating scientific methods for analyzing and harmonizing global customer feedback and product data
  • Researching multi-agent systems that support complex product development and decision-making processes
  • Designing AI-based approaches for identifying regional customer preferences, market-specific requirements, and best practices
  • Validating AI-generated recommendations against assessments from domain experts across different markets
  • Publishing scientific results and transferring research findings into prototype applications and real-world use cases

The final doctoral topic is defined together with the professor. The prerequisite for the cooperation is the confirmation of supervision as well as a confirmed delimitation of topics by the professor of a university or research institution entitled to confer a doctorate.

Qualification Requirements

  • Good to very good university degree qualifying for doctoral studies in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field of study
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning, Generative AI, Multi-Agent Systems, or related technologies
  • Experience in data analytics, statistics, software development, or the design of data-driven systems
  • Strong interest in scientific research and the application of advanced AI technologies to real-world challenges
  • German and English language level C1
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • High degree of initiative and scientific curiosity
  • Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for international and interdisciplinary collaboration
