HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Manage engineering capital investment projects related to material processing equipment.
- Improve rubber processing department by reducing scrap, increasing labor efficiency and machine reliability, and troubleshooting issues.
- Create, modify, and optimize material processing specifications and recipes in SAP and MAZDA.
- Conduct new material trials including tracking, feedback, problem solving and recommendations.
- Implement and improve production visibility and tracking through Power BI.
- Estimate and analyze production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control.
- Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
- Problem-solve and troubleshoot based on fundamental engineering principles. Must be available outside normal business hours up to 20% of the time to conduct trainings and on-floor trial runs.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical/Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience within a manufacturing/production environment
- Hands-on production troubleshooting and operator collaboration
- Strong communication within all levels of the organization
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
