Senior AI Developer

Our international IT Hub in Sofia, Bulgaria, is growing, and we’re looking for talented individuals to join us in the Senior AI Developer position. You’ll be part of an international team, working in a vibrant environment that encourages the exchange of knowledge and ideas both onsite and offsite.

Your Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and drive implementation from proof-of-concept to production deployment.
• Design, develop and maintain AI and machine learning applications, agents, and automation solutions using Python, Azure, Copilot Studio, and modern software engineering practices.
• Implement advanced RAG, vector search, prompt engineering, and LLM-based workflows to create scalable and reliable enterprise AI applications.
• Lead the integration of AI solutions into existing business and IT landscapes.
• Ensure solution quality through testing, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, performance optimization, and adherence to security and architecture standards.
• Mentor junior developers and support technical decision-making across projects.
• Evaluate and adopt new AI technologies, frameworks, and development approaches to continuously improve the organization’s AI capabilities.

Your Profile:

• You hold a Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in computer science, data science, or a similar field.
• You have several years of experience in AI software development and solution implementation.
• You are highly proficient in Python.
• You have practical experience with cloud-based AI development, preferably on Microsoft Azure, including version control, CI/CD, APIs and application deployment.
• Strong understanding of NLP, LLMs, Deep Learning and experience with relevant libraries such as LangChain or HuggingFace.
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, RAG architectures, vector databases, and AI agent frameworks.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade AI solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives.
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in agile development environments.
• The ability to work in English is required.

Nice to Have:

• A Ph.D. in a relevant field.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, or comparable low-code/no-code AI platforms.
• Experience mentoring developers or leading technical workstreams.
