This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

• Develop credit risk management and business intelligence analytical solutions through consulting engagements and research for TransUnion clients.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to create predictive modeling and business intelligence solutions for credit lenders, insurance carriers, and other financial services organizations.
• Design and lead descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analyses using techniques such as segmentation, logistic regression, survival analysis, principal component analysis, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and machine learning.
• Translate analytical findings into clear business insights and recommendations, and deliver compelling presentations to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences.
• Plan analytical work, delegate tasks, manage project teams, and align stakeholders to achieve project deliverables on time.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor junior analytical professionals in consumer lending, credit risk, and systematic problem solving.
• Partner with senior management to identify opportunities for innovation and present new analytical ideas and solutions on behalf of the team.
• Help foster an environment of excellence, innovation, customer service, and collegial collaboration.

Required Knowledge And Experiences

• Graduate degree in a hard-science discipline with advanced coursework in statistics or a closely related field.
• At least three years of professional analytical modeling experience solving business-relevant problems.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to overcome obstacles and develop effective approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and coordinate contributors with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences.

Required Technical Skills

• Expert proficiency in at least one statistical programming language, such as Python, R or SAS (Statistical Analysis System).
• Intermediate SQL (Structured Query Language) skills for data extraction.
• Experience manipulating large datasets using SAS, R, or another analytical software platform.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Ability to evaluate data and summary statistics and independently perform analysis when needed.
• English Advance.

• Experience managing or providing day-to-day direction to junior analytical professionals.
• Familiarity with the consumer lending business and the analytical methods used to address complex lending questions.
• Ability to tailor communication to different organizational levels, from entry-level analysts to senior leaders.
• Strong presentation skills and confidence addressing audiences of approximately 4 to 400 people.
• Strong internal customer-service orientation and an understanding of the importance of meeting internal customer needs.
