As a Senior Engineer I, Product Intelligence at ASM, you will combine semiconductor process expertise with advanced data analytics to help drive process optimization, monitoring, and performance improvement. In this role, you will work closely with both internal teams and external customers to transform complex process and product data into actionable insights, enabling smarter decision-making and accelerating technology innovation across semiconductor manufacturing environments.
What You Will Be Working On
- Analyze, structure, and interpret semiconductor process and product data to support process control, monitoring, and optimization activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to solve technical challenges through data-driven analysis and modeling.
- Develop and enhance tools, methodologies, and workflows for process and product intelligence applications.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to benchmark, evaluate, and improve model performance across diverse semiconductor use cases.
- Apply statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI techniques to improve process understanding and operational performance.
- Deliver technical support, demonstrations, and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate analytical findings and business impact effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in semiconductor process development or customer-facing technical support within the semiconductor industry.
- Hands-on experience with ALD, CVD, Epitaxy, or related semiconductor process technologies.
- Solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and technology fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work on complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work effectively in secure, on-premises, or air-gapped environments.
- Experience applying statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, or AI to semiconductor process optimization.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with data science workflows and analytics tools.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data and analytics platforms.
- Experience developing and optimizing end-to-end process models, including model validation and experimental design.
- Understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies.
- Experience delivering customer-facing technical demonstrations, training, or advanced technical support.
- Ability to translate complex technical findings into actionable recommendations for diverse stakeholders.
- Passion for leveraging data and advanced analytics to drive innovation in semiconductor manufacturing.
