About the role

Own the collection and recovery strategy that DANA sets and its lending partners execute across DANA Lending Products – optimizing recovery and cost-to-collect together, while keeping collection quality and conduct compliant.

You'll be working on:

  • Collection & recovery strategy – own end-to-end delinquency treatment across DANA Lending Products: segmentation, contact intensity, channel mix (digital reminder → desk → field/agency), timing, and settlement or restructuring offer design.
  • Front-load the strategy to the products’ mechanics – first-payment behaviour (FPD1/3/5/15) is the primary lever; build pre-due and early-bucket treatment accordingly rather than optimising late buckets.
  • Segment treatment on the axes that carry the loss – new versus repeat borrower, A-Score band, product, tenor, and acquisition channel; run champion/challenger tests and retire treatment paths that do not pay for themselves.
  • Collection analytics – own roll rates, flow into 30/90/write-off, bucket movement, cure and recovery rates, promise-to-pay kept rate, right-party contact and contact-to-resolution efficiency, and vintage loss curves; maintain the daily, weekly, and monthly reporting cadence and dashboards.
  • Harmonize collection metric definitions across all lending partners, so recovery and cost performance are comparable and targets are enforceable. Build collection reporting on the team’s existing data pipelines – never alongside them.
  • Collection cost management – own cost-to-collect economics: cost per account contacted, cost per Rupiah recovered, agency commission and channel fee structures, and the marginal-recovery versus marginal-cost break-even per bucket and segment. Anchor recovery targets to product economics so collection spend is justified against the margin it protects.
  • Partner collection governance – act as DANA’s analytical counterpart to each partner’s collection team: translate agreed strategy into partner-executable playbooks and evidence whether they are implemented. Propose and monitor collection SLAs, recovery-rate targets, and cost caps per partner and product (commercial terms are approved by the Risk Analytics & Portfolio Manager and Credit Risk Policy).
  • Set the minimum standards partners’ in-house desk teams and third-party agencies must meet – conduct, script, contact hours, escalation, data handling – and verify compliance through partner reporting and sampling. DANA sets and verifies the standard; the partner employs the collectors.
  • Escalate sustained partner underperformance to the Risk Analytics & Portfolio Manager with the evidence and a proposed remedy; contribute the collection view to new-partner onboarding and to partner exit or run-off planning.
  • Compliance & customer conduct – ensure collection practice across the partner portfolio complies with applicable Indonesian regulation and industry conduct rules on collection behaviour, contact hours, third-party disclosure, and prohibited practices, including for agencies engaged by partners.
  • Ensure personal-data handling in the DANA → partner → agency chain meets UU PDP and DANA’s data-privacy requirements; monitor collection complaints, disputes, and escalations as a leading indicator of practice quality rather than as isolated incidents.
  • Governance & reporting – prepare collection performance and recovery outlook for management, RMC, and BoD/BoC forums; feed delinquency and recovery trends into credit policy, risk appetite, and portfolio governance so collection evidence changes underwriting, not just describes outcomes.
  • Cross-functional – partner with Credit Risk Policy (appetite and limits), Risk Analytics & Portfolio (data and scorecards), Credit Risk Product & Systems (collection-relevant system and decisioning capability), Legal & Compliance, and Customer Care.

Qualifications:

  • 6–8+ years in collection strategy, collection analytics, or portfolio/credit risk analytics in consumer lending, multifinance, P2P/PVML, paylater, or digital banking, including experience leading a strategy or analytics agenda.
  • Strong hands-on analytics – SQL essential; Python or R preferred; dashboarding (Tableau or equivalent). Comfortable working from loan-level and payment-level data rather than pre-built reports.
  • Demonstrated command of collection and credit metrics – roll rates, flow rates, vintage loss curves, FPD, DPD aging, cure and recovery rates – and the judgment to distinguish a real trend from a denominator or thin-cohort artefact.
  • Experience governing third-party collection agencies or partner-run collection operations, including SLA, commission, and cost structures.
  • Working knowledge of Indonesian collection conduct regulation and personal-data protection obligations (UU PDP) as they apply to the collection chain.
  • Able to hold partners to evidence in a working forum, and to build the analytical case that supports escalation.
