- Market Design Analyst II - Pay Range: $77,900- $99,320
- Market Design Analyst I - Pay Range: $64,060 - $78,460
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate Markets+ design and proposed changes
- Test and validate market functionality
- Develop market metrics, reporting, and ad hoc analysis
- Support market software development, testing, and implementation
- Identify market issues and respond to customer inquiries
- Provide technical expertise to stakeholder groups and committees
- Support regulatory (FERC) filings with data and documentation
- Research other market designs and industry practices
- Document findings and create educational materials
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, or other related field
- Market Design Analyst I - no experience required
- Market Design Analyst II - Three years of job-related experience
- Proficient at organizing and conducting technical and analytical studies
- Knowledge of electric market concepts and ability to apply understanding in unique analysis
- Ability to support diverse team members and manage complex analysis projects
- Strong facilitation skills
- Strong interpersonal and team-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competent working skills with communication and data handling software such as Microsoft Office, Excel and Access
- Demonstrate proficiency in business acumen and professional conduct
- Demonstrate the ability to function with constantly changing and multiple priorities
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills
- Experience in utility operations, RTO operations or energy trading
- Experience with data manipulation and analysis of large data sets
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of the workweek are Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Working extended hours may be required.
- This position requires moderate travel (approximately 10-15%)
