Position summary

EGADE Business School invites applications for two (with possibility of a 12-month extension), full-time Postdoctoral Researcher Positions in Enterprising families with an emphasis on:

  • Position 1. Artificial intelligence (AI) and long-term orientation.


The Postdoc positions will work closely with Dr. Justin Craig, full professor at the Institute of Enterprising Families for Mexico and LATAM (IFEM) and Dr. Marcela Ramírez Pasillas, contributing to ongoing and new research at the intersection of family business, AI, leadership, ownership, wealth, sustainability and value creation in Mexico and Latin America.

Key responsibilities

  • Co-author high-impact research with Dr. Justin Craig and Dr. Marcela Ramírez Pasillas on business families, AI, continuity, wealth and related topics (e.g., real state, inheritance, ownership, entrepreneurship, regeneration/sustainability).
  • Design and execute studies (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods): data collection, archival datasets, field/survey work, and advanced analytics, including with the use of AI.
  • Curate, review and manage publications of IFEM.
  • Manage research workflows and ethical research compliance.
  • Disseminate findings via manuscripts, conferences, seminars, and practitioner outlets.
  • Optional teaching (subject to interest and program needs).

Qualifications

  • PhD (completed by January 2026) in Management, Business, Economics, Sustainability, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated research interest in family business, AI, ownership, wealth management, or adjacent areas; a record of working papers or publications is a good merit.
  • Strong empirical/theoretical skills (e.g., R, Stata, or Python; machine learning; FsQSA, propositions development or/and hypothesis testing; qualitative coding).
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish are needed for fieldwork and local interaction and collaboration.

Terms of appointment

  • Duration of contract: 12 months with an extension of 12 months based on proven results, non-renewable.
  • Start: July 2026.
  • Compensation & benefits: Competitive package per Tecnológico de Monterrey policies.
  • Work mode: On-site in Monterrey, Mexico (with reasonable flexibility subject to project needs).
