Frontend Engineer

A dynamic energy provider is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer. This company is a digital challenger in the energy market, making energy accessible and engaging for a modern, urban generation, offering customized tariffs and lifestyle products through an award-winning app.

The Role

• Develop and enhance central customer journeys for login, account management, billing, payments, and self-service features
• Build with Next.js/React and TypeScript using a component-oriented approach
• Design seamless web experiences across desktop and mobile devices
• Collaborate on React Native mobile app experiences to ensure consistent UX
• Integrate frontend applications with API-driven backends (GraphQL/REST)
• Implement schema-based typification and validation for reliable data processing
• Work closely with UX/UI design, backend, QA, and platform teams in Agile/Scrum setups
• Ensure performance, accessibility, and quality across various browsers and devices

What You'll Need

• Proven experience developing production-ready frontend applications with React/Next.js and TypeScript
• Strong foundational knowledge in frontend architecture, performance optimization, accessibility, and modern CSS
• An AI-native developer mindset, proficient with agent-driven workflows and tools like Claude Code or Cursor
• Experience with API-first platforms and authentication flows
• Pragmatic approach to testing and comfortable working in CI/CD-driven teams
• Strong communication skills in German and English, with a pronounced ownership mindset
• Experience with GraphQL (nice to have)
• Familiarity with mobile-first strategies (PWA) and/or cross-platform approaches (Flutter, React Native) or willingness to learn
