We are a boutique-sized diversified downstream energy company with a range of assets, including petroleum refining and logistics.
- Our refineries in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana have a combined crude capacity of 302,000 barrels per day
- Our logistics business currently owns and operates 720 miles of crude and product pipelines, a 600-mile crude oil gathering system, and storage tanks and terminals.
Job Summary
This position is for a dynamic individual to take on a pivotal role in enhancing the profitability of Delek's Big Spring Refinery. As a crucial member of our team, you'll drive refining optimization, ensuring the efficient selection of feedstocks, product placement, and detailed planning and scheduling of refinery operations. The primary focus will be on devising monthly and weekly operating plans and defining operational targets to maximize product value as well as overseeing refinery budgets and contributing to capital project evaluations and business development opportunities. Additionally, you'll be the team lead for refinery planning and economics, fostering collaboration with our corporate optimization team, schedulers, and traders to achieve our collective goals.
Education And Experience
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Two (2) or more years Management experience (Required)
- Eight (8) or more years Process engineering, planning related experience in refining industry (Required)

- Works with operations and Technical Services to analyze opportunities to enhance refinery profitability
- Manages and analyzes deviations from monthly operating plan
- Evaluates potential feedstock opportunities
- Acts as liaison between refinery and corporate planning and economic group
- Evaluates the economic feasibility of projects assigned and assists with the economic evaluation of projects
- Implements monthly operating plan and operating strategies, reviews plant operations and laboratory analyses on a daily basis for better efficiency and compliance with operating plans
- Tracks and analyzes deviations from operating plans both daily and monthly
