Job Title: Product Manager

6 month contract

Hybrid (4 days onsite in Seattle)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Product Manager to lead the development of new products and explore product-related marketing opportunities within a specific category. This role involves strategic assessments for products, managing product performance against operating plans, and achieving financial and business objectives. A progressive background in product or brand management is essential, and an MBA is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and marketing of new products within the specified category.
  • Develop strategic assessments for products and manage product performance against operating plans and budgets.
  • Drive the achievement of financial and business objectives.
  • Engage in product and brand management, with a focus on food packaging.
  • Collaborate with local partners to ensure meaningful and impactful work.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in developing and implementing quality programs and product standards.
  • Experience in manufacturer and supplier quality system and product quality auditing, with an emphasis on materials.
  • Progressive experience in managing the development and review of information for product safety and quality compliance.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management System standards, including HACCP, GMPs, or GFSI and BRC compliant standards.
  • Basic understanding of Food Safety and Quality GFSI requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Smartsheet.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Collaborative nature.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • MBA preferred.
  • Experience in food contact packaging (paper, plastic, compostable fiber, etc.) and non-food contact packaging.
  • Familiarity with disposable cups and lids.

Work Environment

This role offers a hybrid work environment with four days at the office. The position provides a balanced work-life experience and involves broad cross-functional collaboration. The work is meaningful and involves exciting local partnerships.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
