Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Trading and Investment role based in Lagos. The professional in this position will analyze market trends, monitor financial instruments, and execute trades in line with the company’s investment strategies and risk guidelines. Daily responsibilities include conducting quantitative and qualitative research, evaluating portfolio performance, preparing reports, and supporting the development of new investment opportunities. The role also involves working closely with team members to refine investment models, optimize returns, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to strategic decision-making while maintaining high standards of integrity and accuracy in all trading and investment activities.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret market data, financial statements, and performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in investments and finance, with familiarity in financial instruments, capital markets, and portfolio concepts.
  • Experience with investment strategies, including the design, evaluation, and adjustment of trading and investment approaches.
  • Background in investment management, covering portfolio monitoring, risk assessment, and performance reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related quantitative field (advanced degree or professional certification such as CFA is an advantage).
  • Strong numerical and Excel skills; experience with financial modeling or analytics tools is beneficial.
  • Attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work under time-sensitive conditions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets and a commitment to ethical, compliant trading and investment practices.
