For the Institute of Stochastics we are looking for an

Academic employee (m/f/d)

We seek to increase the proportion of women in research and teaching and particularly encourage qualified female scientists to apply for this position.

Full-time positions are generally divisible.

Your profile:

  • PhD degree in mathematics
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Matlab or R are preferred
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • High level of commitment and the ability to work independently and reliably

Your responsibilities:

  • Research on spatial stochastic modeling of microscopic image data in 2D, 3D and 4D
  • Usage of AI-based methods such as generative adversarial neural networks

We offer:

  • Interdisciplinary research projects with various kinds of materials and partner groups
  • PostDoc scholarship for two years with the possibility of prolongation by one year
