Your mission
As an (Senior) R&D Engineer, you will develop innovative solutions that transform industrial data into actionable intelligence. You will work closely with customers and multidisciplinary teams to understand industrial challenges, evaluate state-of-the-art technologies, and deliver solutions from early feasibility studies through to deployment. Depending on experience and seniority, you may also take leadership of projects, contribute to business development, and help shape future research directions.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy innovative AI-driven solutions for industrial and research applications involving software and hardware components.
- Develop algorithms for automation, prediction, optimisation, anomaly detection, machine perception, quality assessment, process monitoring and decision support.
- Work with diverse data modalities including time series, images, video, sensor data, spectroscopy data, text and multimodal datasets.
- Design and implement robust software components, data pipelines and AI frameworks suitable for industrial environments.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and transfer research results into practical industrial solutions.
- Contribute to scientific publications, demonstrators, prototypes and technology dissemination activities.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in project reporting, technical reviews and customer presentations.
- For senior candidates, manage projects including planning, resources, customer interactions and technical coordination.
- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Neuroinformatics, Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning. Recent graduates with a relevant Master’s thesis are encouraged to apply.
- Proven experience in Python.Computer vision.

- Deep Learning.
- Understanding of industrial machinery.
- Experience in C#.
- Proven experience in hardware integration.
- Proven experience with classical machine learning and deep learning (publications or relevant industrial experience).
- Experience working with databases (e.g., SQL).
- Experience with high-performance computing enviroments.
- Proven experience in integrating machine learning models into production systems or developing performance-critical applications.

- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Autonomous, proactive and results-oriented personality.
- Fluency in German and English required, French beneficial.
