Data Scientist, Senior Manager- Fintech, Payment

The Company

This is a position within the APAC Data Science & Analytics team delivering innovative, data-driven solutions for leading organisations across fintech, financial services, and retail industries. We are seeking a hands-on Data Scientist who combines strong technical expertise with commercial acumen to solve complex business challenges through advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI.

The Scope

• Lead and deliver end-to-end data science and analytics engagements for business stakeholders.
• Translate business problems into actionable analytical frameworks and scalable solutions.
• Develop predictive models, machine learning algorithms, dashboards, and data-driven insights.
• Work with large, complex datasets using Python, SQL, and modern analytics tools.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive adoption and business impact.
• Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The Candidate

• Minimum of 10 years of analytical experience in applying statistical solutions to business problems with proven experience in card/payment or banking sectors.
• Education background in Quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, economics and equivalent.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, statistical modelling, and data visualisation.
• Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Consulting mindset with a passion for turning data into business value.
• Mandarin and English communication skills are essential.
