Job Description

We are seeking a Lead - Data Analyst for Reporting and Operations role in ABGD group, who can think strategically and interpret data. The role will be primarily responsible for managing intake process, perform A/B Test, Sales funnel analysis & providing insight on data using Python.

About The Role

We are looking for a Lead Data Analyst to join our Gurgaon team. This role is for someone who is a strong data scientist first someone who can dig deep into data, build sound statistical/ML models, and translate ambiguous business problems into clear, actionable solutions. Exposure to Generative AI is a plus, but the core of this role is rigorous, hands-on data science.

What You'll Do

Partner with senior stakeholders to understand problems, frame them as data science questions, and translate requirements into well-scoped, actionable solutions

Conduct extensive exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover patterns, validate assumptions, and identify the right modeling approach

Build, validate, and maintain machine learning models end-to-end from problem framing to deployment and monitoring

Continuously optimize existing models for accuracy, robustness, and business impact

Write clean, efficient, production-ready code in Python and SQL

Work with large-scale data using AWS SageMaker, Redshift/Snowflake, and S3

Apply critical thinking to challenge assumptions, validate results, and ensure models solve the actual business problem, not just a technically interesting one

Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Must-Have Skills

5–7 years of hands-on experience in data science / applied ML

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability, comfortable challenging requirements and getting to the real business question

Deep data understanding and strong command over exploratory data analysis

Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, etc.) and SQL

Experience with AWS SageMaker for model building, training, and deployment

Hands-on experience with Redshift and/or Snowflake, and S3

Proven track record of taking models from concept to production and maintaining them over time

Strong ability to translate business problems into data science solutions and communicate results effectively

Good to Have

Exposure to Generative AI (LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, etc.)

Note: This role is primarily a Data Science position. Strong core DS/ML fundamentals will be weighted more heavily than GenAI experience.

What We're Looking For

Someone who is genuinely curious about data, rigorous in their approach, and comfortable owning a problem from raw data to business impact, not just building models in isolation.
