Job Summary
The IT AI Manager - Supply Chain identifies, develops, prioritizes, and executes AI initiatives across Supply Chain sub-functions (demand planning, supply planning and customer fulfillment) to create measurable business value. This role partners directly with Supply Chain leadership and functional stakeholders to understand opportunities, define requirements, maintain a supply chain AI roadmap, and deliver practical solutions such as AI agents, AI chatbots, predictive AI analytics, reporting, automation, and decision-support capabilities. The position combines supply chain domain expertise, analytical problem solving, technical curiosity, and strong communication skills to translate business needs into scalable AI-enabled solutions that improve forecasting, inventory management, replenishment, logistics, distribution operations, service levels, productivity, and overall operational performance.
Responsibilities / Skills
- Partners directly with Supply Chain leaders and functional stakeholders to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and execute AI opportunities that align to functional goals and measurable business outcomes. Please note – this is a business facing role.
- Develops, maintains, and manages the supply chain AI roadmap, including opportunity intake, prioritization criteria, delivery milestones, value assumptions, dependencies, and execution status.
- Designs, prototypes, tests, and deploys AI-enabled solutions such as AI agents, AI chatbots, forecasting tools, inventory analytics, automation workflows, reporting, and decision-support capabilities.
- Translates business problems into clear technical requirements by gathering stakeholder input, documenting use cases, defining success criteria, and clarifying expected business value.
- Uses SQL and related data tools to access, transform, validate, and prepare functional data needed for AI, analytics, reporting, forecasting, and predictive solutions.
- Collaborates with IT, data engineering, business optimization, security, governance, and functional stakeholders to ensure AI solutions are scalable, supportable, secure, and aligned to enterprise standards.
- Manages intake, qualification, prioritization, and execution tracking of AI opportunities within the assigned business function.
- Communicates project status, risks, requirements, demos, adoption expectations, and business impact clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership when needed.
- Tracks adoption, usage, outcomes, and value realization for delivered AI solutions and recommends enhancements to improve business impact over time.
- Creates documentation, training materials, quick reference guides, and support materials to help users understand and adopt AI-enabled tools and processes.
- Works both independently and as part of cross-functional teams to move AI initiatives from idea generation through execution while balancing multiple priorities.
- Continuously learns new AI tools, forecasting techniques, inventory optimization concepts, analytics capabilities, and development practices; tests emerging technologies and recommends practical applications for Supply Chain.

- Supply Chain Expertise - ability to understand forecasting, inventory management, replenishment, supply planning, order management, logistics, distribution operations, service levels, and related supply chain processes. Ability to work day-to-day, in-person with supply chain resources is required.
- Problem Solving and Decision Making - under general guidance, ability to break down ambiguous supply chain problems and make effective decisions by evaluating business priorities, technical feasibility, stakeholder needs, and expected value.
- Stakeholder Partnership - ability to build credibility with supply chain partners, understand functional needs, manage expectations, gather feedback, and drive alignment around AI initiatives.
- Analytical AI Skills - ability to understand data, write and interpret SQL in conjunction with AI tools, evaluate supply chain data quality, build reporting logic, identify patterns, and translate insights into practical AI recommendations.
- Business Value Creation - ability to identify high-impact AI opportunities and connect solutions to measurable outcomes such as improved forecast accuracy, reduced inventory, higher service levels, lower costs, better productivity, and improved decision making.
- AI Leadership - strong interest in AI agents, chatbots, automation, predictive tools, reporting, optimization, and related technologies; willingness to learn quickly and apply new capabilities to supply chain problems.
- Solution Delivery - ability to move from problem identification to prototype, testing, deployment, documentation, and adoption while managing scope and execution details.
- Roadmap Ownership - ability to develop, maintain, and manage a supply chain AI roadmap that clearly shows prioritized opportunities, delivery sequencing, dependencies, and expected value.
- Communication Skills - ability to explain AI concepts, technical requirements, supply chain impacts, project updates, risks, and business value clearly to stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Collaboration and Independence - ability to work effectively alone or with cross-functional teams, balancing self-directed execution with strong teamwork and follow-through.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, data analytics, business analytics, business, or related discipline is required.
- Experience supporting supply chain planning, demand/supply forecasting, replenishment, order management, inventory management, logistics, distribution, or related operational functions.
- Experience building AI tools/solutions that impact direct supply chain functions (demand planning, supply planning, and customer fulfillment) is required.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in AI, analytics, reporting, automation, digital transformation, predictive analytics, or business process improvement.
- Familiarity with SQL and the ability to write, troubleshoot, or learn queries used for AI reporting, analytics, data validation, and data preparation.
- Familiarity with AI reporting, dashboards, data models, measures, or related business intelligence concepts.
- Familiarity with AI agents, AI chatbots, generative AI tools, predictive analytics, prompt engineering, optimization, or automation concepts strongly preferred; willingness to learn is essential.
- Experience with Snowflake, Python, semantic models, APIs, workflow automation, or software development concepts preferred.
- Ability to partner directly with Supply Chain stakeholders, gather requirements, clarify needs, and convert business problems into practical technical solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a cross-functional team.
- Ability to travel (post-COVID) up to 10%. It is anticipated this position will travel 0-10%
