Data Scientist – Long-Term Contract
Location: Germany – Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Munich, Hamburg or Stuttgart
Contract: Long-term contract, duration TBC
Language: Fluent German – mandatory
Working Model: Client-site focused (Hybrid)
Engagement: EOR / Employee Contract
Pay Rate: €600–€900 per day
About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join a long-term AI and technology programme supporting leading organisations across industries including Pharma & Life Sciences, Energy, and Financial Services.
This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys building and delivering practical data science solutions rather than managing teams. You will be part of a talent pool and matched with suitable client assignments based on your skills, experience, and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop practical machine learning and data science solutions using Python
- Perform data processing, analysis, and transformation using Python
- Build, train, test, and evaluate machine learning models
- Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction and analysis
- Perform feature engineering, model evaluation, and statistical analysis
- Work with stakeholders and technical teams to translate business problems into data-driven solutions
- Deploy and support data science solutions within real-world client environments
- Communicate technical findings and model outputs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Essential Skills & Experience
- 4–10 years of professional experience in Data Science / Machine Learning
- Strong, hands-on Python experience
- Strong SQL skills
- Practical experience with Machine Learning, including building, training, testing, and evaluating models
- Experience working with real-world datasets and developing production-oriented data science solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working as an individual contributor in client-facing environments
- Fluent German is mandatory
Important Information
- This is not a managerial role; strong hands-on technical experience is essential
- Candidates will work on client assignments based on their skills and experience
- If an assignment requires travel to another city, travel and accommodation expenses will be covered separately, in addition to the agreed package
- Candidates are paid their agreed daily rate whether actively assigned to a client project or on the bench
- A technical assessment via HackerRank will form part of the selection process
- Candidates will be hired through an EOR arrangement
Travel Requirements
Candidates should be open to one of the following travel arrangements, depending on their preference:
- Up to 80% travel, including cross-border travel
- Up to 80% travel, within Germany only
- 40–60% travel, including cross-border travel
- 40–60% travel, within Germany only
