As a Manager, you will use advanced analytics, data science, and intelligence methodologies to identify emerging financial crime threats and support strategic and operational responses. You'll extract, transform, and analyse data from multiple sources to uncover trends, identify typologies, and deliver actionable insights that inform decision-making.
You'll also develop and enhance analytics solutions, dashboards, and data products that improve monitoring capabilities and support the detection and management of financial crime risk.
What do I need?
- Strong experience in data analytics, intelligence analysis, data science, or a related discipline.
- Advanced capability in SQL and Python (essential), with SAS experience desirable, for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and the development of analytics solutions.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets, databases, analytical tools, and data visualisation platforms to deliver dashboards, reporting, and decision-support insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Copilot, and other AI-enabled capabilities, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable intelligence for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify trends, anomalies, emerging risks, and opportunities from complex data sources.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and presentation skills, with a track record of producing high-quality, well-documented outputs.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and judgment, with the ability to manage sensitive information, maintain governance standards, and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment.
- Understanding of financial crime risk, including AML/CTF frameworks, typologies, and regulatory obligations, is desirable.
- Australian citizenship is required and the successful candidate must be willing to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance.
