The Space Systems Group (SSG), part of SPA’s Space and Intelligence Division, provides timely and objective assessments and recommendations integrating technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis. We focus on our key clients in the Space community including the US Space Force’s Space Systems Command (USSF/SSC), one of the three designated Field Commands under USSF. SPA has a near-term need for a Product Support Manager - Senior/SME.
Responsibilities
The Product Support Manager executes predictive maintenance, reliability analysis, and lifecycle sustainment activities with moderate independence. This role analyzes equipment performance, supports model development, conducts failure analysis, and delivers actionable maintenance recommendations. The analyst collaborates effectively across engineering, logistics, and operations teams to enhance system readiness and reduce downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular monitoring of system performance, sensor data, high-volume logs, and maintenance records.
- Support development, refinement, and testing of predictive maintenance models.
- Lead trend analysis, detailed root cause analysis, and failure mode assessments.
- Prepare high-quality reports, dashboards, and decision-support products for program leadership.
- Perform RM&S assessments and recommend improvements to sustainment and supportability processes.
- Draft and maintain product support documentation, lifecycle sustainment artifacts, and technical reviews.
- Coordinate with cross-functional engineering, logistics, field service, and program teams.
- Ensure high levels of data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with sustainment standards.
- US Citizenship with TS/SCI clearance at time of application with ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience analyzing data sets or performance metrics
- Strong analytic, diagnostic, and problem-solving capabilities
- Competency in preparing formal reports, presentations, or documentation
- Proficiency with Excel, dashboards, and analytic platforms
- Ability to report to designated work location in Colorado Springs, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer
- Experience with predictive maintenance algorithms, CBM systems, or digital-twin modeling
- Working knowledge of reliability engineering frameworks (FMEA, FRACAS, RCM, reliability growth)
- Proficiency with Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools
- Understanding of sustainment, lifecycle logistics, and product support methodologies
- Experience collaborating with engineering or field maintenance operations
- Ability to support automated data pipelines or algorithm development
- Relevant mid-level certifications
