Position Overview
The Data Scientist designs and develops advanced analytical models to support descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Build statistical and machine learning models.
- Develop advanced analytics solutions using Python, R, and related tools.
- Conduct predictive and prescriptive analysis.
- Support AI and data modernization initiatives.
- Present findings to technical and executive audiences.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- CAP Professional or equivalent certification.
- 6 years of relevant experience, or 5 years with a Master's degree.
- Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
Work Location: Hybrid - USCG HQ (DHS St. Elizabeth's Campus in D.C.)
- Hybrid work schedule.
