Our Business and Corporate Banking Risk team plays a critical role in supporting sound risk management practices through insightful reporting, analytics, and continuous improvement.

We're looking for a curious and analytical Risk Data Analyst to join our team and help turn complex risk data into meaningful insights that support better business decisions.

Te tūranga | The role

Reporting to the Senior Risk Manager, you'll provide reporting, analytics and administrative support across the Business and Corporate Banking risk portfolio. You'll work with a variety of risk data sources, creating insights and maintaining dashboards that help stakeholders understand and manage risk effectively.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Analysing risk data and identifying trends, insights and opportunities.
  • Preparing the monthly Business Banking and Corporate Banking Risk & Compliance committee packs.
  • Assisting with quarterly attestation data compilation and reporting.
  • Maintaining and enhancing Tableau and Power BI dashboards.
  • Extracting and transforming data from risk systems into meaningful business insights.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure reporting and risk governance deliverables are completed accurately and on time.

You'll be someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and finding smarter ways of doing things. You can confidently engage with stakeholders, communicate complex information clearly, and are passionate about using data to drive better outcomes.

You'll Ideally Bring

  • Strong technical capability across Excel, Power BI, Tableau and SQL.
  • Experience designing, developing and maintaining reporting solutions and dashboards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for automation and efficiency.
  • The ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
