Senior Analytics Engineer – Snowflake / SQL at BairesDev

In this role, you'll consolidate messy, multi-source vulnerability data into clean, query-ready models using Snowflake, then surface risk metrics and dashboards that different audiences can actually use. Working with very large datasets, you'll apply advanced SQL to answer business-aligned questions. This is your opportunity to be the SQL expert who turns complex, heterogeneous data into trustworthy metrics, working at a scale where performance tuning genuinely matters.

What You'll Do

  • Write advanced SQL at scale, including window functions, CTEs, and performance tuning on multi-million-row datasets.
  • Build ELT pipelines and data models to consolidate heterogeneous vulnerability data into query-ready structures.
  • Design BI dashboards and semantic layers tailored to executive, operational, and engineering audiences.
  • Use Snowflake-native features for near-real-time ingestion and historical analysis.
  • Monitor data quality and pipeline telemetry as part of ongoing DataOps practices.
  • Define and defend risk, severity, and SLA metrics.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics or data engineering.
  • Strong expertise in Snowflake for data and analytics engineering.
  • Advanced SQL skills at scale, including window functions, CTEs, and performance tuning on very large datasets.
  • Experience with ELT and data modeling, consolidating heterogeneous data into clean, query-ready models.
  • Experience with BI, dashboarding, and semantic-layer design for different audiences.
  • Experience with Snowflake-native features such as streams, dynamic tables, time travel, or materialized views.
  • Background in data quality, telemetry, and pipeline monitoring.
  • Experience defining and validating metrics such as risk, severity, or SLA metrics.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.

Nice To Have

  • Vulnerability management domain knowledge, including CVSS, EPSS, KEV, or mean-time-to-patch.
  • Proficiency in Python for analytics and automation.
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM-assisted analytics tooling.
  • Financial services or regulated-industry experience.

How we do make your work (and your life) easier:

  • 100% remote work (from anywhere).
  • Excellent compensation in USD or your local currency if preferred
  • Hardware and software setup for you to work from home.
  • Flexible hours: create your own schedule.
