Data Solutions Architect for Data Products Architecture (m/f/d)
Indexed description
As a Data Solutions Architect (m/f/d), you will empower data product teams by designing scalable, efficient, and future-proof data architectures. You will ensure cloud-based infrastructure is leveraged optimally across data products and systems, providing strategic guidance on data processing, cloud development, and data warehousing. You will play a key role in integrating solutions into the data mesh ecosystem, aligning them with infrastructure best practices and organizational needs.
How you create impact
- Act as a reference point for architecture definition and data product development in a data mesh setting, which also serves operational applications.
- Serve as a contact for data product teams, providing onboarding and best-practice guidelines for modern data processing.
- Support data product teams throughout their entire lifecycle – from ideation and specification to architectural design, prototyping, and production integration.
- Proven experience as a senior data engineer or architect in AWS cloud environments, working within a DevOps culture.
- Skilled in designing scalable, maintainable end-to-end data flows (ingestion, transformation, storage, access, governance) and selecting the right tools/configurations.
- Hands-on expertise with data pipelines and orchestration (batch, micro-batch, real-time streaming) using Snowflake, Spark, Kafka, plus experience with stream processing engines (Spark Structured Streaming, Flink, or Kafka Streams); familiarity with Dagster/dbt and AWS Glue is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), DevOps practices, and code modularity/testing/deployment.
- Understanding of modern data architecture patterns (data mesh, event-driven, domain-driven design), metadata management, cataloguing, and governance.
- Able to design reusable, comprehensible technical solutions, lead architecture discussions, and document design decisions.
- Experience with synchronous/asynchronous API design and balancing consumer needs, source constraints, and business priorities.
- Excellent English communication skills, self-driven and organized, with a collaborative team player approach.
