Key Responsibilities:
- Operating in a hybrid remote work environment, lead the design, specification, development, and maintenance of robust ETL processes, data integration workflows, and data pipelines for high-volume retail and CPG data streams.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot malfunctions, execute root cause analysis, and perform code, query, and database optimizations to ensure optimal, cost-effective data flows.
- Partner with Platform, Cloud, Data Engineering, and QA teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable, production-ready data pipelines and integration modules.
- Conduct data modeling studies, design physical schemas, and maintain data dictionaries and entity-relationship diagrams to protect data integrity, security, and enterprise standards.
- Establish software engineering best practices, automated data quality controls, CI/CD patterns, reusable workflow standards, and maintain data recovery procedures in strict compliance with internal policies and SOX Section 404 requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of relevant IT experience in ETL development, data integration, and database administration.
- Recognized expertise and thorough knowledge of database architectures, complex SQL development, query performance tuning, and schema design.
- Deep hands-on experience with enterprise ETL tools, automated workflow orchestrators, batch and streaming data processing, and expertise in Python, SQL Notebooks, and automated Databricks pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to solve unique and complex technical problems independently, communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders, and deliver project initiatives on schedule.
