Location: Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

Time Type: Full Time

Duration: 6 Months

The Internship assignment:

We are the Quality Data Lab, central to the data science and analytics efforts at Giga Berlin. You will be supporting our team in day-to-day business tasks by preparing presentations, workshops and coding task. You will also assist with the development of dashboards and ETL pipelines, code deployment, and be part of problem-solving efforts. Our fast-paced, multicultural environment provides opportunities for data science, analytics and engineering in the manufacturing domain, no matter where your passion lies.

What You'll Do

  • Getting an impression of how to build data team and how to manage data projects.
  • Supporting in coding and developing ETL pipelines so that you can further improve your coding skills.
  • Work with stakeholders to take a problem statement, refine the scope of the analysis, and use the results to drive informed decisions.
  • Creating meaningful visualizations and preparing presentations.
  • Assisting in designing, the development and the deployment of data-driven solutions.
  • You will work in close collaboration with other team members on complex problem solving and coding tasks.

  • What You'll Bring

  • Currently enrolled in BS/MS Computer Science or related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, JavaScript.
  • Skilled in writing software in a professional environment.
  • Experience building data visualizations and dashboards (Dash, plotly, matplotlib, panel…)
  • Strong problem-solving skills to help refine problem statements and figure out how to solve them with the available data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Clearly documenting your work is key.
  • Smart but humble, with a bias for action.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while working on multiple tasks at hand.
  • Candidates are expected to uphold and actively promote sustainability principles in their daily work, operating in line with Tesla Global Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Policy and EMAS requirements, fostering a culture of continuous environmental improvement.
