Job Title - Senior Ignition Integrator
Location - Lafayette, LA or Houston, TX. Primarily in-office for Lafayette-based candidates. Houston-based candidates may remain in Houston with travel to Lafayette approximately monthly initially, progressing to quarterly or semi-annual visits.
Role Type - 6-month Contract-to-Hire
Must Have Skills:
- Ignition Gold Certification strongly preferred and the highest priority; at minimum, candidates must hold Ignition Core Certification
- Senior-level, hands-on Ignition development experience designing, building, scripting, integrating, and troubleshooting solutions
- Strong solution architecture skills, including evaluating migration strategies and determining whether existing solutions should be modified or redesigned
- Oil & Gas SCADA experience with a strong focus on enterprise-side development, backend scripting, integrations, and architecture
- Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers while remaining a hands-on individual contributor
Responsibilities and Job Details:
- Design, develop, configure, and implement enterprise Ignition and SCADA solutions for Oil & Gas clients
- Serve as a hands-on senior technical contributor across development, scripting, integrations, troubleshooting, and solution delivery
- Consult directly with clients to understand business and technical requirements and recommend appropriate SCADA architecture
- Evaluate existing environments and develop migration strategies for legacy or current SCADA platforms
- Determine when existing solutions should be reused, modified, modernized, or redesigned from the ground up
- Develop backend integrations and scripts that support enterprise SCADA environments
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers through hands-on collaboration
- Advise customers on technical decisions, implementation approaches, and enterprise SCADA best practices
- Work independently to solve complex technical challenges while collaborating closely with engineering and client teams
- Participate in customer migrations, solution architecture, implementation, and technical advisory engagements
- Travel approximately 25% for client needs
- Flexible work hours may be available when concentrated development time is needed
