Role Description
As part of the consulting team, the Data Engineer will:
- Interact with Cloud infrastructures, integrating multiple Cloud tools, and understanding their dependencies and limitations
- Design, develop, and manage data pipelines and data integration processes for Financial Services clients
- Support the implementation and maintenance of scalable data architectures to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability
- Collect, process, and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions
- Contribute to the optimization and automation of data workflows and ETL/ELT processes
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring performance, accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Support data governance and data quality initiatives, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Prepare datasets and support reporting and analytics activities to enable business decision-making
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in dynamic and client-oriented environments
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation projects within the data and analytics domain
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related fields
- 2–5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Management, or Data & Analytics environments
- Experience in designing and managing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL querying
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques
- Experience working with cloud platforms and modern data architectures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoke
- Previous experience in Financial Services or consulting environments
- Knowledge of big data technologies and distributed data processing frameworks
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience with PySpark, Databricks, DataFactory
- Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks
- Relevant certifications in cloud or data technologies

The minimum gross annual base salary for this position is from €29.000. The final offer could be higher to reflect the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit for the role. Additionally, this position may also be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable bonus payment.
