Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test and maintain Python-based applications, utilities and automation scripts.
  • Develop efficient and reusable Python modules following coding standards and best practices.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views and database scripts.
  • Analyze application and database performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop data processing and transformation solutions using Python and SQL.
  • Build and maintain ETL/data integration processes between multiple source and target systems.
  • Develop and integrate REST APIs and external services using Python.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, cleansing and transformation.


Required Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in Python development and SQL/database development.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing applications, scripts, automation and data-processing solutions using Python.
  • Strong experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, joins, CTEs and performance-optimized queries.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL.
  • Experience with Python libraries/frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, Requests and/or FastAPI/Flask/Django.
  • Experience developing and consuming REST APIs using Python.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, exception handling, debugging and coding best practices.
  • Experience with data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Good understanding of database design, data modeling, indexing and query optimization.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
