Primary Responsibilities
- Design and deliver solution architectures for well-defined problem spaces with low to moderate complexity.
- Produce system diagrams, interface contracts, and supporting architectural artifacts for assigned solutions.
- Contribute to architectural decisions within a defined scope, escalating decisions that impact other systems or domains.
- Gather requirements and evaluate internal and third-party solutions to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with IS teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, testability, compliance, and resilience.
- Apply established integration patterns, platform capabilities, and architectural standards.
- Identify opportunities for incremental improvements within existing systems.
- Research and apply new technologies and design patterns within assigned solution scope.
- Support administration and usage of shared enterprise platforms such as API Management and Enterprise Messaging.
- Contribute feedback to the evolution of architecture standards and best practices.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
- 3+ years of working experience in multiple IT/IS areas or 1+ years of relevant architecture experience.
- Familiarity with architecture and design tools.
- Working knowledge of system design principles and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Understanding of common integration patterns (e.g., REST APIs, messaging).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a collaborative environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Deep analytical skills.
- Ability to translate requirements into technical designs within defined constraints.
- Ability to learn enterprise systems, patterns, standards, and new technologies quickly.
- Must work within designated normal office hours at the Corporate Office in Eau Claire, WI (remote work is not offered).
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States, presently and in the future, without sponsorship.
