Operations AI Analyst
Indexed description
Position Summary
The Operations AI Analyst is a technically minded problem solver who helps departments work smarter by improving the systems, processes, and workflows they rely on every day.
Working as part of the Operations team, this role partners across the organization to understand how work gets done, identify friction and inefficiencies, and build practical solutions using business systems, AI, automation, and process improvement.
This is not a traditional software development position. While technical aptitude is important, success in this role is less about writing code and more about understanding a problem, breaking it down, learning the tools available, and figuring out the best way to solve it.
The ideal candidate is curious, adaptable, and eager to learn. They may come from software development, business operations, systems administration, analytics, or another technical discipline. We care less about having worked with every tool on day one and more about finding someone who is smart, hungry, humble, and capable of quickly learning how technology can improve the business.
This position offers significant room to grow as the individual develops deeper expertise in our business, systems, automation, and AI capabilities.
What You’ll DoDepartment & Process Enablement
- Partner with departments to understand their workflows, challenges, and operational needs.
- Map existing processes and identify bottlenecks, unnecessary manual work, and opportunities for improvement.
- Help departments turn business problems into clear processes, system changes, or technical solutions.
- Build solutions that make employees more efficient and improve the experience we provide our customers.
- Document processes and help teams adopt new workflows and tools.
Business Systems
- Work extensively within Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other business applications used throughout FUNDVIEW.
- Configure and improve workflows, forms, data structures, reporting, and system processes.
- Investigate system issues and determine whether the best solution is configuration, automation, process change, or development.
- Assist with integrations and the movement of information between business systems.
- Maintain a strong understanding of how our systems support different departments and business processes.
AI & Automation
- Use AI tools as a core part of daily work for research, analysis, problem-solving, prototyping, and implementation.
- Design AI-assisted workflows that reduce repetitive or manual work.
- Build and maintain automations connecting systems, data, and business processes.
- Experiment with emerging AI capabilities and identify practical applications across the organization.
- Help employees and departments effectively incorporate AI into their workflows.
- Evaluate solutions based on business value rather than implementing technology simply because it is new.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Break ambiguous business problems into smaller, solvable components.
- Research unfamiliar technologies and quickly develop enough understanding to implement practical solutions.
- Test solutions, gather feedback, and iterate based on real-world usage.
- Work with Operations, Development, Customer Success, Support, and other teams to solve cross-functional problems.
- Look for opportunities to improve processes before being asked.
Technology You’ll Work With
Experience with every technology below is not required. Curiosity and the ability to learn quickly are more important.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Microsoft Power Platform / Power Automate
- Artificial Intelligence and AI automation tools
- Microsoft 365
- APIs and system integrations
- Relational databases
- Reporting and data analysis tools
- Process mapping and documentation tools

What We’re Looking For
- Strong technical aptitude and curiosity.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to break down unfamiliar problems.
- Interest in how businesses operate and how technology can improve those operations.
- Comfortable learning new software, systems, and technologies independently.
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical employees.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Willingness to experiment, learn from mistakes, and continuously improve.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Comfortable working in an environment where the solution may not be obvious at the beginning.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field can be helpful, but equivalent experience and demonstrated ability are equally valuable.
