📋 What You'll Architect
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and improving data integration and transformation solutions that support analytics, reporting and business applications.
You will work across the data lifecycle, from extracting and integrating information from different sources to transforming, modelling and making data available for downstream consumption.
- Designing, developing and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes;
- Building complex data integration workflows using SQL and SSIS;
- Extracting, transforming and integrating data from multiple sources;
- Working with large and complex datasets;
- Developing and optimising SQL queries, stored procedures and data transformations;
- Supporting the design and maintenance of data models and analytical data structures;
- Defining and monitoring SLAs for data pipelines and ETL processes;
- Monitoring data processes and identifying performance bottlenecks;
- Improving the performance, scalability, reliability and maintainability of existing data solutions;
- Ensuring appropriate data quality and consistency throughout data pipelines;
- Applying strong Software Engineering principles to Data Engineering development;
- Following database development, administration and performance optimisation best practices;
- Troubleshooting data integration, database and performance issues;
- Supporting analytical and reporting solutions using SSAS, SSRS and Power BI when required;
- Working closely with technical teams, business stakeholders and end users to understand data requirements and resolve technical challenges;
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the client's data ecosystem.

- Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
- Around 2–4 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, Business Intelligence, or a similar data-focused role.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Experience working with business users and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and solve data-related challenges.
- Professional proficiency in English and Portuguese
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Solid experience designing, developing, and maintaining ETL and data integration processes.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Experience with data modelling, data transformation, and data preparation.
- Experience monitoring and optimising ETL performance, including working with SLAs.
- Good understanding of database performance, optimisation, and administration best practices.
- Strong understanding of Software Engineering principles and development best practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to build reliable, maintainable, and high-quality data solutions.
- Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and/or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Experience with Power BI.
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies and large-scale data environments.
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience in consulting or client-facing environments.
