Ardova Plc is a Nigerian leading indigenous and integrated energy company involved in the distribution of petroleum products. With an extensive network of over 450 retail outlets in Nigeria and significant storage facilities in Apapa, Lagos and Onne, Rivers State, we procure and distribute petrol (PMS), diesel (AGO), kerosene (DPK) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Our services also involve the manufacturing and distribution of a wide range of quality lubricants from our oil blending plant in Apapa, Lagos. These lubricants include: Super V, Visco 2000 and Diesel Motor Oil. We are also the sole authorised distributor of Shell branded Helix Engine Oils in Nigeria.

Job Title: Full Stack Developer

Job Detail

• The role holder is responsible for building high-quality, scalable, maintainable and secure software solutions to support the needs of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and creation of scalable software both internal and customer facing
• Write clean, functional code on the front- and back-end
• Work with development team, product owners/managers, designers to ideate and deliver software solutions
• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Build the front-end of applications incorporating appealing visual design
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications, ensuring data integrity, security, and efficiency
• Write and integrate effective APIs for client-side and server-side applications communication
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Implement security best practices to protect applications against vulnerabilities and threats
• Maintain legacy code written by other developers, including bug fixes
• Maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade already existing software
• Take ownership of the smooth running of all existing applications
• Participate in code reviews, write and maintain technical documentation, and follow best practices for code management
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices

Requirements

• Minimum of Three (3) years’ experience as a fullstack developer, software developer or similar
• Minimum of a 2.2 in Computer Science/Information Technology/ Engineering, or related fields
• Relevant certifications in web development, cloud technologies, security, or related fields are a plus (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer, Certified Kubernetes Developer, DevOps).

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js, Laravel)
• Sound knowledge and experience in one or more back-end/server-side programming languages (PHP, Java, C#, Python, Node.js, .NET)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache)
• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Experience with APIs (e.g., RESTful, GraphQL)
• Familiarity with UI/UX Design concepts
• Experience developing web and desktop applications; mobile is a plus
• Experience with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Selenium)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) and package managers
