Software Engineer (Apache Ozone) at BairesDev

As a Software Engineer specializing in Apache Ozone, you will work on the next-generation scalable object store for Hadoop. You will be responsible for building, optimizing, and operating S3-compatible storage infrastructure to meet the demands of large-scale data environments.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop core components of the Apache Ozone distributed object store
• Optimize storage performance and scalability within the Hadoop ecosystem
• Implement and maintain S3-compatible interfaces for seamless data access
• Manage large-scale object storage clusters to ensure high availability and durability
• Contribute to the upstream Apache Ozone project and participate in community architectural reviews
• Troubleshoot complex distributed systems issues related to data consistency and storage efficiency

What We Are Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Systems Programming.
• Proven expertise in operating and contributing to Apache Ozone or similar scalable object storage systems.
• Proficiency in managing Hadoop ecosystems and S3-compatible storage infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of distributed storage architectures, metadata management, and data consistency.
• Hands-on experience with storage performance tuning and cluster scaling at the core level.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
